Michael Sloan’s Interview with AI-AP Design Arts Daily

Michael Sloan was interviewed for AI-AP newsletter, DART, otherwise known as Design Arts Daily. Peggy Roalf, Editor in Chief at DART interviewed Michael for an ongoing series about contemporary illustrators.

In the interview Michael talks about the early life experiences that shaped him and propelled him towards a career in illustration. He spent these younger years soaking up the sights around him and using this to fuel his creativity. You can always find Michael with a sketchbook in hand documenting life’s moments.

An award winner three time over, Michael’s illustrations can be found all over the place from The New York Times to book covers and magazines. He has had solo exhibits here at home and in Hong Kong showing his traditional street scene paintings of Hong Kong.
